The aim of DISCOVER SCIENCE 2020 is to bring the wonder, excitement, and fun of science, medicine, technology, and the environment to science enthusiasts and general audiences. The site also endeavors to be more inclusive and diverse in the backgrounds of the scientists, researchers, and explorers whose work will be discussed on this site. It is not simply diversity for diversity's sake. Nor is it window dressing to keep in vogue with the post-George Floyd world (I had been writing profiles of African, African-American and Asian scientists and researchers for New Scientist and New African magazines for over two decades), but a genuine curiosity to know, among other things, the issues concerning all humanity and how we, as a species, a global family among the Earth's multitude of families, go about confronting and resolving these challenges particularly in the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic.
